An Unforgettable Musical Evening
On Friday, June 5, 2026, the International Seafarers’ Centre Antwerp once again had the pleasure of hosting a truly successful musical evening. We look back with great satisfaction on an event that exceeded all expectations and once again demonstrated the importance of fellowship, relaxation, and community for our seafarers.
Our beloved Chaplains’ Band once again gave their very best and provided a fantastic musical performance. With their enthusiasm, talent, and infectious energy, they delivered a varied repertoire that was greatly appreciated by everyone present. From the very first note to the last, a warm and joyful atmosphere filled the Seafarers’ Centre.
The turnout was once again impressive. Numerous seafarers of different nationalities joined us to enjoy an evening of music, friendship, and relaxation. It was heartwarming to see how music brings people together, regardless of their background, language, or culture.
In addition to the musical performances, a quiz competition was organized, attracting many enthusiastic participants. The questions provided both a challenge and plenty of fun, encouraging friendly competition and interaction among the seafarers. Participants competed eagerly for a range of attractive prizes, adding even more excitement to the evening.
This event was yet another wonderful example of the warm community spirit that we strive to create at the Seafarers’ Centre. It was a pleasure to see so many smiling faces and to witness how activities like these contribute to the well-being of seafarers who often spend long periods away from their homes and loved ones.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Chaplains’ Band, our volunteers, staff members, and everyone who contributed to the success of this special evening. Thanks to your dedication and enthusiasm, our seafarers were once again able to enjoy a memorable and meaningful experience.
