Rollingstore

What does this mean and how do we work?

The Rolling Store is a unique social project, created as a result of the coronavirus epidemic. No one was allowed to disembark. And we received numerous requests for help, including practical ones. We drove around with a van full of banana boxes loaded with various items (food and non-food).

After the coronavirus pandemic, it became clear that many shipping companies preferred to keep their crews on board. The birth of a large van, Rolling Store, became and remains a valuable service. In other words, the Rolling Store is a mobile shop that travels to ships to provide sailors with basic necessities. They can buy personal care products such as toothbrushes, lip balm, vitamins, as well as snacks, food, personal gadgets, and souvenirs. We also collect stuffed animals and warm clothing, which we distribute free of charge through the Rolling Store. Besides material goods, we also offer support for the sailors' mental well-being. Everyone is welcome to chat or simply share their thoughts.

The rolling store fulfills a material need, but also serves as a tool for engaging with sailors. That's why we always work with two people. One prepares the bills and collects the money; the other engages in conversation with the sailors.
