Mediport Antwerp

Mediport is the medical partner of the International Seamen's Home Antwerp for seafarers.

Mediport was founded in 1985 as a group practice focused on providing complete and specialized medical services for the maritime sector.

Maritime medicine is a combination of curative medicine, occupational medicine, travel medicine, health education, training, radio medical assistance, and the organization of emergency medical assistance for shipping.

Mediport has four port physicians and two nurses, all specialized in maritime medicine. Mediport is available 24/7.

Seafarers must present their seaman's logbook during consultations. Medical expenses are covered by the shipowner or insurance company, depending on the type of employment contract.
